Appeal - Review of a case by a higher court.

Attorney of record - An attorney , named in the records of a case, who is responsible for handling the cause on behalf of the party he represents.


Plaintiff - a person or business that files a formal complaint with the court.

Nunc pro tunc - latin for "now for then" this refers to changing back to an earlier date of an order, judgment or filing of a document.
